Talking and learning about cancer with kids
When a parent is diagnosed with cancer family life inevitably changes. Children cope better if they are included, involved in conversations and understand what cancer is.
We offer Cancer Cloud kits designed to help parents, or adults, talk to children about cancer; help children understand what cancer is and how it is treated; and help families emotionally, and practically during changes in family life after a parent is diagnosed with cancer.
For children with a parent or carer with incurable cancer
We also offer Pip’s Kit, a toolkit designed to support children aged 5-10 years old to understand dying, grief and coping skills when their parent has incurable cancer or in end of life care.
